How We Help Adults

​

We are happy to help adult learners who are enrolled in or re-enrolling in school, parents who want consultations for advice about their child's academics, IEP, or admissions process, or parents who are  considering homeschooling and would like some guidance for their child's education.

Adult Learners​

Whether continuing your education, re-enrolling in school, seeking a new degree, or just wanting to brush up on some skills, we are happy to offer sessions to adult learners.  We respect the educational journeys of all learners and provide a judgment-free environment where you can get the assistance you need to pursue your goals and dreams.

While continuing education as an adult can sometimes be vulnerable, we have your back and want to help propel you forward to the success that awaits you.  We can offer specific assistance on assignments, overall conceptual overhauls, support through a specific or multiple classes, and guidance and preparation for tests and exams.  We can work with a variety of schedules and circumstances and even offer online sessions for our adult students and are happy to help make your academic journey manageable as you also navigate the responsibilities of life.  We are also sensitive to those who may have had negative educational experiences in the past--we care about you, we see you, we value you, and you're safe with us.

We are proud to offer tutors that can assist adults with any and all of their educational needs from foundational skills and concepts to writing essays to advanced calculus.  

Parent Consultation

Navigating your child's education can be a very stressful experience.  There is oftentimes minimal guidance from schools about how to assist and support students who are struggling, offer more enrichment for those who need more challenge, or what you can do as a parent to help your child thrive.  A child's education can feel extremely high-stakes for parents in our society as it currently tends to reward those who perform well in school, on tests, and in their academics, and sometimes even before those students decide what course their professional lives will take.

We are here to support parents on this journey with the understanding that all humans and students are different, that not all perform well in academic and on tests, and that this is not a reflection on their inherent brilliance or capability.

​

We are happy to help guide parents by reviewing academic support plans and IEPs and to make recommendations for specific accommodation requests, recommend evaluations for potential learning differences, consult and make recommendations about how to communicate with schools to get students' needs met, offer admissions advice, and more.
